Vision Program Many students at our school experience visual impairments, with the majority having cerebral visual impairments (CVI). To address their unique needs, our school employs expert vision teachers who work closely with students in a structured, individualized manner. Vision development takes place in a specialized vision room, where students practice and strengthen key visual skills such as focusing, tracking, and scanning. In addition to enhancing these visual abilities, students also work on developing compensatory senses, including touch, hearing, taste, and smell. Vision development is integrated with the content being taught in the classroom, using various tools and resources like darkrooms, light tables, everyday aids, adapted stories, and interactive games. The learning environment and teaching methods are tailored to each student's specific needs. We also ensure that all staff are informed about the characteristics and needs of students with CVI (Cerebral Visual Impairment), and that adjustments are made to the learning strategies. The entire team collaborates to achieve shared goals, ensuring that visual development is a central part of each student's educational journey.
